strawberry and banana breakfast oatmeal

This super quick and easy oatmeal is healthy and nutritious and can keep you satisfied for hours! Perfect breakfast for those busy mornings.











Oatmeal (or porridge) is very filling and easy to prepare, making it an excellent meal. You basically chuck all your ingredients into a bowl then cook it. Or leave it overnight to soak up all the yummy goodness. And then you eat it afterwards. Duh.



I enjoyed this for lunch one day and it took less than 10 minutes to have it ready to devour. It's creamy and satisfying and kept me full for a long time. Plus, it's healthy and nutritious. Perfect!

If you like, have a play around with the fruit and flavours. Peaches, blueberries and even chocolate chunks would work well (though not all together, obviously).

Banana Strawberry Oatmeal
serves 3

1 cup milk
1 cup oats
1 banana, thinly sliced
¾ cup strawberries, thinly sliced
1 tbsp walnuts, chopped
½ tbsp brown sugar
½ tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp salt


Combine all the ingredients in a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 4 minutes, stirring every minute. Serve topped with more fresh fruit and a drizzle of honey if desired.
